Clouds moving in
Skies filling
Darkness falling
like a night without a moon.

Thunder rumbles
Winds shriek
calling the sea to rise.

Waves growing
Wings of water and froth
Beach trembling
shifting in despair.

Stars glimmering
Black night falling
as the storm fades.

Of the beach there is nothing
every grain of sand
gone with the tide.
