I Remember...

This is first poem I ever wrote that I wasn't forced to write for some English class in school. It started from a word set that was posted to AFD by Dave/yLaerin.

The words were: remember, storm, quiet, howling, wings, sea, green, dazed, white, faith, ending, and raven.

"I Remember..."

I remember...
the stormy shore
and the quiet of the desert

I remember...
the howling of wolves
and the thunder of pheasant wings

I remember...
the dark and brooding sea
and the dazzling green of grass in spring

I remember...
the white of a young bride's dress
and the faith that she had in her husband's love

I remember...
the ending of life
and drifting into the raven night
