Teph's Recipes

I'm working on putting all my favorite recipes online and it will probably take me a while to do it. When possible I'll give proper credit to the original creators or source but I've been making some of these for years and it's not always possible to figure out where they came from.

Asian Style Peanuts - Flavored peanuts that are wonderful by themselves, in snack mixes, and on salads.

Chicken & Shells Casserole - One of those 'just toss things together' dishes that turned out to be a hit with the family.

Coconut Frosting - The key to a superior "German" Chocolate Cake.

Hot & Sour Soup - My favorite recipe here.

Pork Casserole - Just something I tossed together one night. Pork and veggies in a cheese and tomato sauce with cornbread topping.

Semi-Sweet Barbeque Sauce - This stuff never lasts around my family. I caught my brother dipping pretzels into it. So far I like it on pork, chicken, and beef (and I must admit, pretzels).

Ten Pound Lasagne - Note that this makes two 13x9" lasagnes!

Tuna Noodle Casserole - I know, it's got a reputation as some sort of kitschy thing but I like it.

Tuna Pate - If you thought the tuna noodle was kitschy.... It's quite good on bagels though, and lot cheaper than lox.

1-2-3 Tuna Pate - Only three ingredients and better than the original in my opinion.

Since these recipes tend to make large quantities here's a small table of conversions to help you cut them down if you wish:

This Amount = This Amount

1 cup (c) 8 fluid ounces (oz)
1/4 cup (c) 4 tablespoons (Tbsp)
1 Tablespoon (Tbsp) 3 teaspoons (tsp)
1 pound (lb) 16 dry ounces (oz)
for most liquids a dry ounce equals a fluid ounce
